The Texas Realtors Conference took place last week, and three of our agents had the pleasure of attending the conference. Networking seemed to be a top priority and key takeaway for each agent. Hosted at the Fort Worth Convention Center and Omni Fort Worth Hotel, this year’s conference included panelists and speakers from across the real estate industry, updates from the Texas Capitol, and continuing education for attendees.

“It was an amazing experience and opportunity to get out of our “bubble” and see what a huge organization Texas Realtors is.  The Texas Realtors Conference is a great way to network and meet agents from all over the state to better build a referral network for our own business,” said Mustang Island Realty agent Julie R. “It truly does take sacrifice, volunteerism, and a love/passion for our business to make Texas Realtors operate, and it all starts with being a leader in your own association.  It’s inspiring to see so many doing so much, and it makes us all want to be better Realtors, people, spouses, and colleagues.”

The Texas Association of Realtors is composed of over 120,000 members, making it the largest and most powerful professional association in Texas. The TREPAC/Texas Association of Realtors Political Action Committee mission is to raise and disburse funds to promote home ownership, protect real property rights, and increase political awareness.  The 86th Texas Legislature adjourned May 27th and it was a monumental session for Texas real estate consumers and private property rights.  Through TREPAC Realtors advocated and helped pass legislation for property tax reform, school finance reform, expanding access to home equity and ending forced annexation in Texas.  It is gratifying to know that our association plays such an instrumental role in protecting real estate consumers.

We are thrilled that are agents were able to network, increase their database, learn from top industry educators and have a great time!
