The New Texas Coast

Welcome   to   the   Mustang   Island   Realty   Blog.     We   believe   this   will   be   a   valuable
resource   for   information   on   the   Port   Aransas   and   Mustang   Island   real   estate
markets.

You   will   find   out   about   island   homes   and   condos   that   are   about   to   come   on   the
market. Additionally, we will be providing insight into current trends in the real
estate market on the island.  Owning a vacation home or condo in Port Aransas has
been an increasingly popular choice in recent years.

This   post   is   an   appropriate   place   to   start   the   Mustang   Island   Realty   Blog.     Mark
Schnell is an urban designer based in the midst of the 30A Corridor along the Florida
coast.     This  area   is  home  to  the  popular   beach   communities  of   Seaside,  Rosemary
Beach, Watercolor and Alys Beach.

The New Texas CoastMark recently wrote an article for the Seaside Times titled “The New Texas Coast.”
He   describes   the   similarities   between   the   successful   beachfront   communities   in
Florida  to  the  up  and   coming  beachfront  communities  on  Mustang   Island.    Mark’s
talents   as   a   community   master   planner   have   helped   shape   Sunflower   Beach,
Cinnamon Shore and Palmilla, which are each very special new urbanist beachfront
communities located in Port Aransas.

As Mark states in his article, “This is the New Texas Coast: these walkable mixed-use
communities   are   enhancing   health,   strengthening   the   economy,   protecting   the
environment and connecting people with social bonds instead of isolation.”
I’m   confident   you   will   enjoy   Mark’s   observations   and   I   hope   you   return   to   our
website regularly   to  monitor  the  evolving  Mustang  Island  real  estate market.
The New Texas Coast is taking shape before our eyes.
